Pregabalin (Lyrica) - Off-Label for Hot Flashes

Pregabalin is an anticonvulsant and anxiolytic medication FDA-approved for neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and seizures, but sometimes prescribed off-label for managing hot flashes in menopausal women, particularly those with contraindications to hormone therapy.

Efficacy

Limited clinical data but small studies suggest reduction in hot flash frequency and severity; may be particularly helpful when hot flashes disrupt sleep
